Destin real estate is warming up

 The start of January 2011 has been cold and has had too many cloudy days for my liking.   But on a good note the Destin real estate market is warming up and we are ready for spring.  The cold weather in Florida doesn’t seem so bad when every other state in the US has snow  in it.  All in all I guess we just get spoiled here in Destin and sometimes don’t realize how good we have it. We have seen a lot of good deals with short sales and foreclosures as the year starts off.  2010 was a tough year to get through with the scare of oil but luckily it all missed us here. The year ended very well and 2011 has started with a fury.  Local real estate prices in Destin and 30A have really started to level off and it is a great time for investors and first time buyers to buy at prices they have not been able to for quite some time . With the end of 2010 seeing a lot of our inventory sell we are hoping that prices start leveling off . This trend means that we will continue to see low prices and good deals but they will become more difficult to find. I have seen many foreclosures hit the market at very low prices and only people ready to pull the trigger quick will get these GREAT deals.
