Eden Gardens State Park
One of the best parts of this area is Eden Gardens State Park. Visitors can come and walk around this 163-acre property. There is a renovated two-story plantation-style home, called Wesley House, in the center of the park. It’s hard to imagine that this was someone’s home and so-called yard. Now it can be enjoyed by everyone. It was donated to the state to be used as a state park in 1968 just 5 years after Ms. Maxton purchased the home for only $12,500.
