Camp Creek Lake in Seacrest is one such dune lake almost 10000 years old and is about 1.5 meters deep on average. Many people do not think of hunting when coming to South Walton for a beach getaway. Although this is a beach island in Florida there is actually quite a bit of good hunting here. Point Washington State Forest has numerous areas where you will find dear, Turkey, gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, and wild hog. Although not hunted, there is also quite a few black bears here at the beach.

Play golf in Camp Creek Golf

Located between Highway 98 and Highway 30a off of S. Watersound Pkwy. is the famous Camp Creek Golf Club. It’s just about 2.0 miles away from Seacrest, where you can enjoy some world-class golf action. It has 18 holes with several marshes, making it one of the best golf courses in the area. Camp Creek Golf Club was rated Golf Digest #7 of Florida golf courses. The golfers can even enjoy a drink, meal, or a snack in the clubhouse.

Eat and shop like a local

Peddler’s Pavilion is a collection of eccentric local shops offering handmade and crafted products at reasonable rates. You can shop locally-made jewelry, sunglasses, souvenirs, and other accessories from various famous shops in Seacrest. It also has some great food outlets for dining with live music during the weekends. You can get amazing seafood dishes in Crabby Steve’s that features a beachside bar and restaurant. The most famous dish here is the Grouper Cheek Wrap and the Crabby Colada cocktail. La Cocina is a must-visit restaurant for Mexican cuisine and lively happy hours.
